What pleco for a convict tank?

Don't the bristlenose get pretty big?

I vote for the spikey snails that were mentioned above. Since the covicts are so mean when they have fry it's pretty likely they will fin nip a pleco.

i do agree with this. these convicts no doubt come from captive bred stock and can adjust to almost any pH except probably the real extremes obviously. i wouldn't worry about it. I do however disagree that the convicts will destroy a pleco.
 
My male convict was nipping at the fins of my rhino pleco in a 135gallon but I had other convicts that didn't bother my plecos. I think it just depends on the convict and if they're breeding or trying to breed.
