yep, looking at adding 20-30 tanks to my garage to breed the smaller sp., i'll have tp try to get some new pics soon, now, how to get all my plecs to come and sit for a photo, hmmmmm

That's awesome that you're going to breed. Good luck, and hope to see pictures of pleco fry soon!!!

As for getting those plecos to come pose for you... You can be a great photographer, but if a pleco doesn't want to have their picture taken, it doesn't happen. It really amounts to having the camera always ready, charged, next to the tanks, and taking hundreds if not thousands of pictures before you get a small collection of decent ones you can show off. You guys saw a smattering of pictures from me, but the reality is that I had to dig through hundreds to find good ones of the plecos. The L418 is always out and about, but the queen arabesque and the smaller leopard cactus are a treat to get to see. The L133's are never out on the bottom when the lights are on, and I realize I have not a single decent photo of them as a result. It's the nature of plecos. Some people appreciate it and enjoy the sighting as a fun treat, while it annoys others that they're a shy, secretive fish.

ive got a common BN thats about 2.5" SL but already has huge cheek spines and a head completely covered in bristles... he's gonna be a real monster when hes fully grown!
a 1.5" clown plec who's got loads of tail odontodes and fully grown cheek spines already.
and a whiptail whose so hyper that whenever he darts around the tank i'm afraid he'll get a concussion.

a common for now hoping to maybe do something more vivid in color..
