I'm currently growing out some L-333's for breeding. I want to eventually get l200 and l-14 and wondered if they can breed. A importer stated they all could, some take more work than others.
I imagine it would be messy at first but should settle in time. Is clay what they dig into or is it more like a gumbo or top soil? Would love to breed the rhino's as they are great algae eaters. We have some in the 10 inch range now not totally sure how big they get.

Yes for Hemiancistrus subviridis: http://www.planetcatfish.com/common/species.php?species_id=223
Breeding Has been bred in the aquarium. A cave spawner, the male guards a clutch of approximately 40 eggs. Eggs hatch in 3-4 days, fry absorb their yolk sac and start feeding in 10-11 days.
I think the rhino is fairly large maybe exceeding 18 inches. What do most of you consider a large pleco. When talking cichlids some believe anything over 6 inches is big. It has appeared as though the larger the pleco the less the chance of spawning them. Anybody here been the first to breed a certain type of pleco?
