What PMP's/MP3 do you guys have?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
30gig ipod video. Only player to last more than a few months for me. Went through 2 Creative Zens and a Samsung 30gig video/audio player within 6 months time. Have had the ipod for over a year now.

Pixy, For my birthday, Sep 11 this year, I got a 1 gig MP3 player. It was roughly $60. Dunno actual price. Its a Ministry of Sound one, with a smooth black feel to it.

I see iPods as a fashion statement. Who spends 500 bucks of a stylish peice of equipment that can hold thousands upon thousands of songs, yet most people only have 600, MAX??? I buy a generic MP3 player because I do not care for looks, so long as it can hold the songs I want and is cheap.
I find Ipod's much harder to get songs onto anywy. Because with a Mp3, you just drop and drag songs from your documents into the Mp3 folder. Presto done. Yet with Ipods, you have to download songs, import them etc.

And why pay for songs? Seriously, I use Limewire™ 4.14.120. Download many songs a week, and for what cost? FREE!

Very true my friend. But for me the case is I have thousands upon thousands of audio files on my comp. My iTunes is completely filled with music I haven't checked it in a while but I think there is like at least 10000 tunes on there not to mention whats in my My Music documents. Plus I have tons of movies and video files as well so with me is the more space and applications the better. I am sure I will fill my Archos 705 in a year or so and it holds 70,000 mp3's. I find iTunes relatively easy to use and I use limewire 4.14 as well and I just transfer all the files to my iTunes no problem and just put them on the iPod. The drag and drop features on most MP3's and PMP's are better IMO because they are versitile and you can put them on more devices as well as you can convert the formats easier.

I have an Ipod and I dont use Itunes... I use Vpod. Drag/drop downloaded tracks from Limewire into my folder, done.

Where did you get the program?

I cant remember... Lol. But you can find it by googling Vpod. It works quite well.

I haven't heard of Vpod, will check it out, I'm currently using Poddox for transferring to my ipod. It's not drag&drop but it's quicker than itunes.
