Having kept sens for about 10 years and getting an endi this year, I'm ready for a new species. I want something distinctly different than my other two, preferably active.

I was thinking probably an upper jaw species so maybe a delhezi?

I also thought one with a green hue would be cool. So maybe a lapradie, but I'm not sure on their size and temperament (or price)

I get them all confused, so I'm not really sure.

Tank mates will be

10" senegalus
12" endlicheri
5" leopard bush fish
6" african clawed frog

He will be taking the place of a 16" inch tire track eel, that no longer plays nice with my polys, and a 5" african brown knife fish that gets picked on by my bush fish

I may also add another bush fish.

what do you guys think?

As much as I like my frog, I would love to see my endi get big enough to swallow a frog that size. When I got him he was less than 2" so he has just recently started eating tankmates. The last victim was a butterfly fish that had been in the tank for 2 years.

I guess rope fish are out of the question, now too.

I'd do a delhizi, beautiful, generally very peaceful, and active. Also watch the endli when it gets bigger, might make that frog dinner since it is their natural prey

I'm thinking the del should be atleast 6" to go in with the endi.

The only grow out tank I have is a 10 gallon, so I would like to buy one large enough to go straight in

Wow. The more I look at them I'm loving the look of the retropinnis, and especially the weeksii. I can get either one at 3-5 inches for $69.99, on liveaquaria.com.
Is that a decent price?
Anything I should know about those species before I decide.

Thanks in advance for your input

I just sent toyin an email and asked for prices on palmas palmas, retropinnis, and delhezi. When he responds I'm going to order one of those 3.

It's so hard to choose because I've never seen any of then in person.

Here's some bad pics of my tank, and my endi
