What pumps do you guys use for your sump?

I use Mag-drive & Eheim pumps. I have to agree with whoever said that the mag-drives are loud, but it has a great flow rate and has been very reliable so far.

The Eheim pump is quiet and all, but frankly, the flow sucks when compared to a similarly sized mag-drive.
 
quiet one. good pump. not as quiet as my eheim, but pretty darn close.
 
I've used both quiet ones and mags. My mag 12 is a touch more silent then the quiet one 4000. I think the mags perform better with head loss, but I could be wrong. Check out the reef octopus water blaster pumps. Their 1300 gph model uses about half the wattage of a mag 12 and have a 1800 gph model that uses 88 watts! Pretty incredible and it's what I'll be buying next time I need a new pump
 
I'm using two Iwaki pumps, an MD40-RLT and an MD70-RLT. They have been running continuously for about twelve years now without any problems. I also have a Quiet One 4000HH, but I've only had it for about six months.
 
Can everyone please put their likes/dislikes about their pumps? Would you buy another? Instead of just listing brand names...

i've alwyas used little giant pumps. right now i have the 3-mdqx-sc 1000 @ 3' and the 4-mdqx-sc 1225 @ 3'....

love them. pretty quite but my bigger pump is a it noiser. maye need to lube them. they run for a long time.... had my first one run 10 years straight..well had it off for a total of 5 hours out of those 10 years..... i like them but i know there is better pumps out there......
