because the shell has a lot of anaxtacin which helps bring out the red in your fish. The same with krill. Best way I have found is use frozen shrimps and slice in small pieces iwth a chef knife, then the shell is cut in small pieces
I thought that is what the reply was going to be. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I had heard the same, but never had anyone demonstrate proof. I don't use it myself, but not for that reason. I cant afford it since I have so many fish to feed I use variety, and fresh as much as possible, and buy in bulk.
I use a Hagen product I got off Ebay with a lot of Chinese writing on it. Mine eat most everything but really like dried large shrimp. They won't eat Hikari Gold though and some other Chinese food I got in China Town on sale, figures.
if you can't get the "flowerhorn" pellet. new life spectrum is just as good IMO. Protien is a little lower, but all natureal, and main ingredient is krill which is awesome color enhancer.
