hey are you looking to get into rays? i got a Leo x Leo x Motoro Hybrid that is a very easy ray... just feed and change water and he will be a happy fish. ask dale about him he is amazing but my Marbles do not like him in their tank :( i can sell him for what i paid for him.. let me know

I have been getting myself ready for my ray for a year now...read everything I could.....and so far (1 week today), my little Motoro is by far the mast demanding fish I have tried to keep...(even compared to salt water),and I understand it is one of the most hardy of rays. The water conditions having to be so pristine and trying to get them to eat.....can be a bit of a challenge...but I understand that the food part gets easier.

They are wonderful pets tho

my female motoro is getting huge maybe 18" now. as far as feeding a motoro will accept almost any food. im worried she will out grow my 300g. i also have 2 retic rays, i know some people say they are not hardy but i disagree. they just are more picky with foods. mine eat mostly blackworms. will not eat pellets or market shrimp.

my point is, i think u can keep full grown retic rays in a 180g for life. mine are maxed out at 9". the key to retic rays, as with all rays, it to keep water pristine. the best way to accomplish this is by a drip system. my nitates never are above 3ppm in any of my fresh tanks with a drip system. with no water manual water changes.
