All these damn 3-d movies can we just go see a regular movie,or does every producer have to jump on the band wagon. What happens when 3-d is no longer popular(every fad fades)what are we going to do with all these 3-d tvs, blueray players and those damn glasses.

i don't understand why this would grind someone's gear

you could simply choose to not watch the 3d and watch the regular

Very well said. However, I can tell you from experience that trying to supply kingkarter with well thought out responses based on science and logic is also unproductive, he simply will not listen. So from now on I will choose to take the easier of two unproductive approaches: critiquing his spelling and grammar. Well, at least in this thread, anyway. I'm not gonna literally follow him around MFK and be his English tutor.

There is no right or wrong in scientific theories? So the Earth is flat? That isn't wrong? There are varying degrees of correctness, a relativity of wrong. Some things are more right than others, and likewise some things are more wrong than others, it is never black and white but to say that there is no correct and incorrect and that it is all up to our interpretation is wrong.

Wow i won't listen? You mean you won't listen.

I said no true right or true wrong, think about it this way, when people in the dark ages believe the world was flat it was due to thier scientific theories / research at the time frame they were in - was it right of course not, we know this because in our time our research and scientific theories prove that it's not. Now following along with that who is to say 50 years from now the "facts" may show that it's not quite what we think it is either.

Now using the earth is hard as it is easy for us to find out about it, but what if we carry this thought process on to the earth's core, is it molton or solid? we can using what's avaliable to us at this time make the best educated"guess" but if 3 generations form now equipment and or people can go there and find out for sure then we may be as wrong as they were in the dark ages.
