What really is the Conservations status of the ST?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would love to see baby ST's in the US again. I loved mine they had so much personality. There is no other tiger like them.

everything is "speculation / talk talk" without proof.

Ceewah, i too want to see pics, not cause I dont beleive you, but because I am genuinly interested in seeing them.

i was told that in 2010 it will not be allowed to import and export ANY ST from from any country even if they have been captives for years

Goes to Thailand, buy a few bags of baby ST

and walk walk walk...

Suddenly, OOPS! I drop them into the river!

they all flow down the stream into Cambodia

I recollect them at Cambodia

and ship it back to Canada!

:naughty::naughty::naughty:

if they are everywhere in thialand then it should be easy for you to get 1 pic of them with todays paper or proof of the date the picture was taken

i can post up a picture of a baby ST i just got it

I still dont get how there are so many people who mis-identify Datnoides i mean there are only 5 species and the only ones that look sort of close is ST and IT. In time they get easy to identify also.

I still dont get it. so are they Extinct in the Wild or just just locally extinct in Thailand?
And what is their conservations status LC, NT, VU, EN, CR, EW???

like i said, its not on IUCN redlist anywhere, so doesnt that mean it doesnt have a status ?

Not going to start an arguement here. Scientists don't need to know, from what he told me, he has seen enough small ones in there. The only problem is getting it out of Thailand.

not arguing just asking for facts/proof and not hearsay, personally i think he's talking bollocks.
ST's dried up in the last few years in places like Cambodia,Laos etc due to many differing factors but Thailand has had export bans for years and years due to diminishing populations.
so someone that can just go out and see many young seems a bit fishy to me.
