What reptile could fit in a 30 gallon?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You could fit a lot of things in there, maybe an alligator snapper on its side?

In all seriousness browse the pages of the reptile section, there are many posts like this a week. Also narrow it down to snake, lizard, turt etc. And how much effort/$ you have to put into it.

Im thinking either lizard or snapper(regular or alligator).

jkjk
go with 2 female crested geckos in a planted setup

OMG I was about to say a colony in a 30G WTF! LOL

Yes, the only I can think of is a leo or a green anole? They can be housed in that small tank size. And thats all that comes to mind.

Leopard Geckos, Crested Geckos, Tokay geckos... oh so many different geckos could go in there!
Not at the same time of course.
If you want a turtle, mud or musk would do fine, and no a snapper will not fit.
A ball python could be housed in there just fine, but if you get a hatchling or juvenile be sure to add a lot of hides so it feels secure.

Quite a lot of different thing you could put in there.
Get a list of what you like and post it here, and we'll let you know what will and wont work.

haha yeah that sounds easier!

skinks are pretty cool.. take a look at sandfish skinks, or maybe crocodile skinks, both you could house in a 30 gal for life..just an idea

musk turtles are basically miniature snappers, if that's what you're looking for, another cool thing about them is their range is huge, if you're in Ohio you can collect your own and release it back where you found it if your situation changes and can't care for it properly... kind of a big deal with any turtle since they can easily live 50+ years.
