Then you my friend are close to be one of a kind, at least 2 friends of mine tryed it and went to great lengths to be sucessfull only to fail misserably. I had one I tryed to stabilize only again to fail. Untill the day comes when this animals are ALL CB and starter colonies of the proper ant species are readbly available, Im pretty much against all trate in horned lizards, I gess over 90% of them, if not more die within a few mouths wich is a complete shame. THEY ARE NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP BY ANY MEANS or to breed sucessfully by that matter, but DARN they are a very tricky, VERY DEMANDING genera of lizards and if to that you ad stress, desiase and parasites you see the reason why most people fail with this guys. To garantee some chance of being sucessfull you need to reach a level of care similar to the one sea horse people have thoards their loved fish. This is not a lizard for the average pet keeper.EricIvins;4237493; said:It's not difficult to keep or feed them at all. All the Horned Lizards I've had did well on Crickets into the long term. If you're worried about it, all you have to do is give your crickets a paper towel soaked in apple cider vinegar. What the Ants produce and the Vinegar are almost one in the same. Gotta love mis-information..........
I find Frillies to be boring, and Basilisks are nervous animals no matter what, so I don't know what to tell you on that one......
