What sand/substrate do you use?

I'm looking at either the 3M or carib seas tahitian moon sand, any feedback on how well it stays on the bottom of the tank? I understand with rays moving around, it will get stirred up, but does it settle out fairly easily? I plan on running a Fluval FX5, and a wet/dry filter (possibly also an eheim 2128 or another FX5 if I can get a good deal on one) on the 300 gallon i'm getting.

Should I be worried about filter pluggage with these sands?

Note: I don't have the tank yet, I just like to do some research on things before I buy them to get feedback from people, that's why i'm asking about the sand.

Thank you for any input.

I find rays much easier to keep in bare bottom.

It makes maintenance much easier.
