anyone else? I am leaning towards the playground sand as it is very cheap and easy to get. Will it change the chemistry of the tank at all? is there a better way to wash it then useing a bucket? also does anyone have any good pic of there tank setup with playground sand? I also read about algae bloom with the playground sand? one other option is I have about 160lbs of aragonite from zoosands.com but i dont know if its good to use. its the white sand on his website.

When I set up a tank I take 55 gallon storage bins, with 2/3 sand as stated, and wash well with tap water before putting in the tank. keep washing until all the fine particles and dirt are gone and its clear.
Moon sand ! I just added some for the first time and I really like it. I like it so much it is now in 2 of my tanks.
