I am. It's male.
^^ what he said.
If your going to trust anyone from an anonymous forum about sexing your parachromis Mojo is it.
Also, i believe a lot of people arent looking at the shape and only the spots.

Lol ive got the same thread on OscarFishLover Forum and one of the mods on their is meant to be the Jag 'expert' and hes saying defo Female.

I thought Female at first but then the Shop said its defo a Male and as ive said im not a Jag expert as this is my first one.

Ive just read on a few forums on how to sex them and alot say all splodges tend to be Male but i know this idea isnt 100% and every Cichlid varies abit.

Ahh.

Thanks Again Darren.

They're only going by the lack of spots and light patterning in the fins. Those are female characteristics but the body shape gives it away that he's a male.

Here's a shot that might shed some light. Note the spot pattern on the male. Now look at the female. A female pattern will almost always have that "lateral bar" look with the markings. If you look at a picture of your fish you can see how the spot pattern, while not as dark, still looks very close to my male.

It's a male, I can seen the confusion with the pattern but it's a male.

Thanks for all the replys and i understand what you are all saying, i was going to ask if someone could post some pictures so i can compare but you beat me to it.

I am listening and also learning about sexing Jags lol, but from the pictures above i can see the Female has the "lateral bar" and i also notice a slight hump on her head. Now i must say even though mine has light spot patten but also looks like it has a slight "lateral bar" and slight hump on the head like your Female.

Now im not disagreeing with you about its a Male but im finding this intresting.

Thanks Again Darren.
