What should i ask for?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
you getting the 4ftx2ft or 5ftx1.5ft footprint? I believe there are two standard dimensions for 120g. either way you can add few more to the shoal if you want for the 120g. see if you can get some caribes instead of rbps, those are awesome

Think of it like selling a car. If you want $5000.00 for it, you post it for $5500.00 and let them bargain you down to the asking price. I'd ask for a 180, then be ecstatic you got the 120!

im going to ask for the 4ft one

nice, the 2ft width will make any piranha a happy piranha (unless your fish ends up to be 20" plus)

I agree.
Worst case scenario, they actually buy you the 180. :nilly:

hahaha that would be awesome if that happens

yeah a 75 would hosue the 3 piranhs for the rest of their lives but a 120 or a 180 would allow you to add a few more to the shoal and belive me when i say the more piranhas you have the more fun feeding time is :naughty:

i have 7 in a 150 which by the 20 gallon per fish rule is perfect

so if you got a 120 you could double your shoal size up to 6 and if you got a 180 you could triple your shoal

remember you should always end up spending more money on filtration than on the tank itself......... lol

sounds good

with bigger tank you can over stock (of course not go crazy, use common sense), don't really need to follow the 20g per fish rule.
as long as your filtration can keep up you'll be fine.
I have 7 caribas, 3 wild reds and one piraya in my 180g, slightly over stocked but it looks great, especially during feeding.
besides you should get few more than what you want to keep because you may loose some during the process. if they all live to adult hood and you think the tank is way too overstocked you can always sell them. will take a good few years until they are full grown so you'll have plenty time to enjoy them in your tank before either upgrade again or get rid of some.

where could i get some caribas at? my lfs has only expensive baby reds
