Thanks everyone ... I'm thinking of getting a male Thai Silk and a male kamfa from David @ Feng Shui Aquatic.

He is a great person to deal with. I highly recommend Dave to anyone that really wants to order quality fish overseas at a fair price. I give him a 10/10 rating overall with my experience ordering from him.

I'm just waiting to get my garage in order so I can start a serious breeding project. I'm going to have 7 tanks going all committed to one type of hybrid.

Your going to need A LOT of tanks when it comes to doing a breeding project. I had 17 tanks and my breeding project didn't work out too well. The reason is because you just can't grow them out to the point where you can select the ones you need. Space, time, and money all plays...

17 tanks ... damn!!!

I plan on using a few fish store owners I'm cool with to grow some of the fry out. I have the space and I have the time, the $$$ I'm hoping I have as well. What were you breeding?

Another question did you ever have any of your fry try to on the mother's tail and scales? I came home the other day to find the mother tore up and the babies feeding on her. I feed them 3x to 4x a day.

I was breeding some KML frys and the frys I just bred with a Redmalau x Vieja/Texas mom. These guys goes out faster than I can grow them out because of the killing, food expense(I go through a large bulk of NLS for them less than a month), and time to care for water change and etc. I'm easing off on the breeding; more into caring for them now only. Maybe by summer I'll try and attempt another breeding session with my KGM from Malaysia and a Red Kamfamalau female from Thai.

Thanks for the feedback fellas.

Any of you guys ever had your fry aggersivly attack the mother?
