What should I cross her with

Thanks for the feedback fellas.

Any of you guys ever had your fry aggersivly attack the mother?

Yes frys will attack the mother if they're underfed; they will try and feed onto her as a mother nature state of play. I'd remove the mother before she gets ticked off and starts picking them off one by one slowly(yes I've had it happened to multiple of my females). The frys are good by their own now once they are wrigglers...

Man ... So this morning I get a call from my mother in law who is feeding them while I get the breeding room together and she tells me the Mother has laid eggs and in the process picked off like 90% of the fry. So she managed to move like 10 babies to a spare running tank I had going.

Gotta love fish keeping!!!

About 18 babies survived the blown heater and now are showing what appears to a Flowerhorn line and they have a yellowish coloration?

Thanks to my brother in law for taking these quality pics of my first serious breeding project. The goal is to come up with a cichlid with very unique colouration and behaviour.

Wow nice vieja man. I would cross her with a Red dragon with a large double flower row. That black gene would be nice if it came out expressed in a double row gene on a Kamfa. If the male has a lot of red and a nice hump you could possibly make a red kamfa with a ton of double/triple row flower markings on the side... like the ones they call blackjack kamfas from thailand

sorry i posted that after reading only the first page. NICE SBS man! o btw if you cross this with an amphilophus male you can possibly get kilrin. But anyways nice pair man, are you going to be selling any of your growouts? I'm starting a shortbody/red texas/parrot hybrid project I would love to get a couple of those for sometime in the future. PM me if your selling them thanx

If you want dark and thick double row Kamfa...go with Vietnam(they are well known for that + dark coloring flowerhorn in general). Black jack is just a marketing name, never was a strain.
This is going to be a unique hybrid knowing the father is already one himself(excluding flowerhorn). I see texas, vieja, and parrot in the father. Texas eye/pearls/face, vieja coloring, parrot body and fins. Keep us updated!

Thanks for the feed back BIG ONE, I'm currently looking for other mates for both fish.
