We need more info. Species? Size? Tank size? Tank mates? What you're feeding? Etc . . .

If the fish is new in the tank maybe feed when the lights are off or try different foods. If the fish isn't new you may have a disease problem.

okay it's about 4 inches in a 30 gal has no tank mates has denied all sinking pellets and flakes and live black worms. Any advice?
