what should i do

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Check your water parameters. If something's off they lose color and become skittish.

If your water is fine, just take your time and try to interact with your fish more often. Sooner or later, he will be following your fingers.

My community tank in my bedroom has all of the bashfull fish. They still scramble today when I get out of bed or walk into the room.

What I always do is get in there and just sit in front of the tank. Now, it's finally to the point that some of them are going to the top for feeding time.

It will work you just gotta commit the time....

i did that to one of my shyest flowerhorns.... he stares back at me now lol....

hmmm. mine was like that, now its dark, head shrunk, and timid. I giv it attention and nothing. just a shy fish, sooo unlike flowerhorns.

its suppose to be the other way around (head bigger, colors brighter, interactive).... somethings wrong w/ your water, i think some testing would do your FH good.

feed them... keep water clean, if tanks arent in high traffic area they will be shy

trust me, i know what to do, it's the fish, it got that way after trying some Chingmix, no offense to those that use it, but he don't take pellets anymore, at all. n thus, dull fish, less active.
