For the frist few days they will eat the egg shack there born with. Then once there swimming on the own. That's when you'll need to start feeding the brine shrimp. I havn't keep the spices your talking about. But I have keep over 100+ fry and even hatched them in a hatchery with out the parents.
When they hit the free swimming stage. They'll be hungery and wanting fed. When feeding live brine shrimp be carful as the dying brine shrimp will cause the amonia level to raise. You'll have to do more W/C's to keep it down. Once you figure out how much they'll eat you can start lowering the amount you add to the tank. You can tell how much they've ate by looking at the pink in there belly.
You'll need to fed them 3 to 4 times aday. Once there 3 to 4 weeks old you can lower the feeding times down to 2 or 3 aday. And start feeding finly crushed flacks once aday to take the place of the brine shrimp. It's best to feed the brine shrimp for 8 weeks. The brine shrimp will give them the protain and other nutriants to help them grow faster stronger and alot healther. Stop feeding the brine shrimp to early can lower the amuonsystem.
I hope this helps. Again I havn't had the spices your talking or asking help with. But again I have raised over 100+ fry this same way. It works really good. Plus I have 2 fry of kribs ,1 fry of Apisto Agiss red tail , 2 fry of Apisto trifascta , 3 frys of Betta crowntail all growing on the brine shrimp deit I just gave you right now. And speaking of them it's feeding time for all of them now. So good luck and hope this helps.
