My Jack Dempsey is having problems swimming, he is floating up so he is constantly swimming downward. He has been doing this for a while and I can't seem to fix it. I've been doing water changes but that hasn't helped. He was also bloated when this first started happening but the swelling has gone down.
This has been happening for days, but today my other cichlids in the tank have started attacking him. I don't know how long he can make it when he is being beat up like this.
I have a spare 3 gallon tank but would it be worse to put him in there to let him recover or leave him in my cichlid tank to be eaten by his tank mates?

get a tank divder and keep him on one side to heal..

I have no way of doing that tonight :/ I don't have a tank divider and dont have the time to go get one today

some say feeding em some cooked peas can help, or starving them cause sometimes it's caused by food impaction.
