What should I expect to pay for a used 125?

I got a "complete" 125 setup for $140 off craigslist. Stand, hood, lights, Rena xp3, two heaters, nice powerheads, etc. $1 a gallon is just a guideline, but deals are definitely out there. In my case I found some people that lived about an hour outside of the city that were moving and needed to get rid of it. They listed it at $300 and it went down from there.
I just need to vent.
I am getting frustrated. People seem to think their used tanks are still worth what they paid for them.
One guy on CL, claims he spent $1600 on a 125. and he wants $600 for the used tank. Just the tank!
My buddy gave away his 125 a few months ago. He offered it to me, but I could not accomadate that large of a tank at the time. I had to turn him down. I try to ease the pain by telling myself that it was old, and scratched, and had the black trim. I want a nice show tank, with the oak trim. I'm kicking myself now.
I'll just have to keep searching.
