That tank is woefully too small for discus and can only accommodate 1 angel, not a pair....so tetra community it is.

I know several Discus breeders personally who use 29 Gallon tanks for their breeding pairs... So that part is very arguable...

...and you overlooked the suggestion of Dwarf Cichlids all together...

yeah dwarf cichlids gets my vote for personality and less maintainance.
