Wow... Its been a long time since i was last here..must have gone full circle,
community tanks> monsters> Planted> Discus> Marines> Reef> and now back to monsters... well hopefully.

Ive got a 7ftx2x2 sitting arround doing nothing and im thinking of a nice pair or fish or one big playful fish so thought i would throw this open to suggestions.

Anyone have ideas.
by the way in in the UK.

if you want one large playful fish...pacu are excellent! they are very under appreciated as well. mine is always at the side of the tank waiting for me as soon as i get home.

asian aro!!!! take advantage of the fact that they are legal!!!! If they're too expensive, I would either go with a jar or a lei....you could also do rays!!

Do Like Asians, but over here they still cost silly money.
I have had rays before, but the tank allways looked empty with just rays until feeding time anyway when they climbed.

Not sure of the pacu, Had one a long time ago - that was just aggressive and looked dull.

Thanks for the thoughts though, keep em coming..

my pacu is a big baby...couldnt hurt a fly. they do tend to be a little dull in coloration though.

how about a frontosa comm tank? they look awesome and have a great disposition.

:jaw:Nobody has recommended Large pike two small Pbasses two rays and redhooks?!?! (i hope thats compatable...)

go with a whole tank of RD's or Midas.....get some from different places so they will hopefully have a wide range of colors when older....

he wants either a pair of fish or one big fish w/ personality.

if he only wants a couple, then go with 2 large pbass...
