you should consider a spare tank just to house all the fry(baby fish). A 30g doesn't seem large enough for a breeding pair of adult angels and a few hundred babies :P

He speaks truth. I keep an empty clean 10g and more sponge filters running than I need in case the stork shows up, and I'm up to raising a fraction of the spawn, or someone gets sick. 20$ well spent.

Yes, I have a spare tank for any fry that do come. At the moment though I am just getting the water acclimated and then I will move the fish I am going to breed in the tank. Also would having a algae eater disrupt breeding?

i say angelfish since there well with community fish. And some common cichlids would be a good idea like mentioned before. I do have a pair of convicts and they are great fish!
:welcome: to M F K!

Plecos and snails will go after eggs at night when the parents are sleeping. Otherwise a small pleco would be fine.

The popular thing around here is to get a bottle of Seachem Stability, and then follow it's instructions on how to use it for fishless cycling.
If your comunity tank is healthy and has enough bio-media I would use the used bio media from your filters (not all of it, or you'll have a mini cycle in your community). This will seed your tank, and then just stock the breeder tank lightly (two small juvie anything would prolly be ok).
You have a water test kit? Use it every other day for the first month or so. A bottle of Stability would be nice to have on hand if you get any amonia spikes.

Ya...I am going to squeeze some of the community tanks filter and put it into the new tank....And I think I am going to go with some kind of cichlid..But still not completely positive
