What should I keep in my 90-gal?

I'd rather not use live rock actually, because once I'm done with the fluval or emp I can just sell them. Selling live rock is a lot trickier. Also, I wouldn't have to buy a separate powerhead to create a current.

I'm sure you've read up more on radiata than I have - do they produce more or less waste than the average SW fish? Would I be okay with running the fluval 405 + emp 400 and 30 lbs of live rock, and 70 lbs of additional rock for hiding? Also - I'm pretty sure live rock seeds base rock automatically, just like how it'll seed the sand automatically.

The seeding is not automatic... its a process. i understand what u mean about selling the live rock though, lionfish ALL produce alot of waste! your not understand that you prolly will need a protein skimmer to get MINUTE junk out of your water that a filter cannot get. i think the live rock and additoinal rock idea is a good one...roughly 100lbs should be good. Im not a pro on this like i isaid, but i have been doing reading for quite some time...

There was someone that had a picasso trigger, flagtail grouper, radiata, and snowflake eel all in the same 100-gal acrylic. They were using two aquaclears (the ones with the highest gph) and she said her water was crystal clear. So uh, those must be pretty good filters if they're cleaning up after a trigger, grouper, lionfish, and eel!

I'll follow your advice and definitely get a protein skimmer though.
