Hey guys!

So some people have told me I have to much, some said i'm ok and other have said I can even put more. My current tank setup is a standard hagen 90 gallon tank with 1 ac 70, 1 ac 110, an ati sponge filter 5, 1 fluval sea c4 powerhead, and a 200w eheim heater. The tank stays at about 80 degrees. Now as for stock I have a Hoplias Malabaricus (12"), a Clarius Bathracus (8"), a tiger oscar (13"), and a polypterus endlicheri endlicheri (CB) (11").

So far I dont have problems with the tank. Normally the parameters were 0 ammonia, 10ppm nitrates, 0 nitrites, 7.4ph. Lately for some reason it says 0 for nitrates and nitrites and ammonia is about 0.5-1 and ph is 6. I think this is due to me forgetting to unplug my filters during a wc because nothing has changed in the tank with setup and stock for months.

So anyways my point here is I want to know can I keep going or do I need to evict some tenants? Now some of you will say that i should just get a bigger tank, this is not possible because i live with my parents still so a 4' tank is the max they will allow, so instead fish need to go :(.

It sounds like you lost your cycle. I surely would not add more fish until you get that sorted. I'd suggest small daily water changes to keep the ammonia levels down until you get your cycle back. Hopefully you can get some others to chime in on this as well.

I agree, I wouldn't put much more in the tank.

How's the mala with the poly? Any issues with aggression from the wolf? Are you using an old test kit? Sometimes they will stop working, I usually double check with test strips to be positive.

If you gotta get rid of anything I would say the Oscar, it will probably be the first one to outgrow the tank as I hear they grow fast (never kept one though) and replace it with a top swimming fish that maxes out at around 15 inches. As far as it being overstocked I really don't think so, especially with the level of filtration you got going.
