What should I keep of my current stock?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It is a bit better, but I also have an erythrinus not a hoplias specie, they hops tend to be more vicious for sure. I had wanted to grow out the heck a bit more but I was given crappy info on them from the LFS, they said I'd be fine to grow em out to 5-6 inch in a 30 ga but one died randomly. Then I checked on here and it was because they need more space so I put the other in the main tank a lil earlier then I would have liked. That's why I always double check LFS info on here haha.

It probably won't happen until the wolf is bigger, they tend to grab things too large to swallow then just tear and thrash them up. Pretty sure that's what my red did to my heckelli he was too big to swallow whole.. with wolves its kind of like a time bomb, if anything I would add some small dithers to help distract it from the Oscar

That may make things worse once the feeders are gone or if you haven't gotten em in a few days, if the wolf is still "in the mood". If you can find large enough Molly's that won't be immediately eaten, adding a group of them would probably be good, they may get slowly picked off but they might be able to have some fry in the tank, adding to the little fish your main fish like to snap up. Plus they won't be nasty, disease ridden feeders lol.
