This might help

quote:
From Most active to Least active:

Group I*
P. senegalus
P. palmas polli
P. delhezi
P. retropinnis

Group II*
P. e. congicus
P. e. endlicheri
P. Zaire green
P. weeksii
P. lapradei
P. ornatipinnis

Group I - most active during the day, but can also be active at night.

Group II - active primarily at night, but also semi-active during the day,
but they also tend to adjust on your feeding sched.

This is no longer true as every individual bichirs have their own activity level, not just within species.

Cool! I'm still new to this so that's good to know.
Not to derail, but can you judge its activity just by viewing at the store or would that be misleading?

And I vote for the moke (retropinnis) for its elongated, snake-like look!

moke isnt a retro o.o
