What should I put in a 100 gallon stock tank???

To be fair, I explained what I think you should do. Either you can take it or leave it but I’ll mention it again. Focus on a fish, your young and the more knowledge you get on one species the better! If you focus on a fish for 10 years and learn all about them, breed them and experience them, people will eventually ask you”he can you help me?” Instead of being like in my 10 years I’ve had all different kinds I’m not very knowledgeable on that kind.

I have one rare Oscar in my 120. He loves the space to himself and is in my face all day long. Super aggressive and I wouldn't put him with anything else except maybe silver dollar fish, which I plan to get later this summer. Too many big cichlids in that size, imo, will lead to trouble. I know others here have success with integrating different species in that size of tank, but I like to keep it simple. Good luck.

Well for 1 it's a stock tank. So that means what ever you get you'll want it to be a good top down viewable fish. Agree large cichlids is a 1 and done type scenario or maybe a breeding pair but then you are not going to see most of the behaviors.
An Oscar is always fun. Just not sure in a pond setting. But you never know til you try.

Diamond head neon tetras are really popular right now. That would be a cool project see if you could get a large number of them and breed them. They'd look cool top down and you be able to sell them assuming you got good quality fry from them.
