what should i stock

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i dont mind fish that will outgrow it because it creates diversity ;) the fish can move and i get to redo the stock list that i watch at night. i spent the money on the 75 because its all the larger i feel comfortable putting on my second floor. otherwise i would have just setup my 6' tank up here. but instead ill keep the big boys downstairs and rock a nice little grow out tank up here :D

will do, i was talking to my gf last night showing her a bunch of diff options seeing what she likes. she's helping me decide, which is nice cause my ex was a fish hating biznitch

I guess I don't understand why you would spend the money on a new 75g or waste the time setting it all up then if you know you're just going to stock it with something that will easily outgrow the tank within 6 months.

Anyhow, if you just stick with the 75g though, in a bedroom, I'd probably do a single Oscar and some SD or Filament Barbs for a dither school. O are great and he'd be like your bedroom buddy. :P

Bedroom buddy.....that could be wrong in so many ways or good in so many ways jon lol. I would stick something that you want to grow out and then move onto the larger tanks, but I would set them up within the next month to have a place to move someone that because to aggressive fast in that 75. Get a flagtail and you will not be sorry, I love mine and my chocolate cichlid also. There is so many options know that you have those tanks sitting ready to take over. If it was me, I would use the 75 as a grow out and then have plans for the others that you are wanting to stock with and start them there. It's what i'm doing with my fire eel that is in my 75 and will go over to the 220 with size.

i went and picked up some black gravel for substrate and a new master test kit as i dont know what happened to my old one. tank is starting to look good hopefully the cycle wont take too long im getting antsy even though i have no idea what im going to stock. what would go well with a black ghost knife? i pointed one out to my gf at petsmart and she liked it, she also liked an oscar so the possibility of an oscar wet pet for the bedroom is a definite maybe.

there is an aba aba in the marketplace that im trying to get :) hopefully i can get it to start growing more

You would go there Chris, lol. I see you've got that 220 up and running, got rid of the 180, and have quite a new selection of stock. Post some pics some time. Hope all is well with the job and Panama City. ;)

OP an O and BGK could go together fine in a 75g, provided you get the BGK at a decent size and provide him plenty of hiding spots.

PMed you btw ;) and I'de personally get another fire eel, if you've never owned one of those gentle giants they are one of the most "puppy-like" personalities I"ve met. they do well with anything that won't harass it. they rarely eat other fish and can be kept in large comm tanks easily. But they will outgrow a 75 in 1-2yrs.
