Spray paint, you can choose whether or not you want to have it flat or gloss... myself I prefer a flat in my opinion it seems to make the fishes colors really "pop" .

I do have a question for anyone really if someone used gloss black spray paint would it make it hard to takee pictures of the fish ? possible glatre issues ? just wondering

How could there possibly be a difference when you're looking at the paint through a layer of glass?

I agree with Pharoah. I like latex paint, it's pretty painless to remove if you ever change your mind on the background. I haven't tried the krylon fusion on glass, but you might end up scratching your tank if you decide to remove it later.

Painting the glass also drops the amount of light reflecting back into the the tank from your lights making them less effective. The light emitting from your fixture is reflected off both surfaces of the glass pane the inside and outside. When the outside is painted it ceases to reflect light making your light less effective.
