WHat size is your Red Devil?

That is all a matter of Genetics. The ones in my earlier pics were bred by me 15 months ago and they are already 10". By contrast I sold some to a LFS and they are still around 4".
 
I know, I was just looking for an average time frame. I got Diabla 9 months ago at an inch, she's now 7-8 inches. I was just trying to figure out an approximate age for her, but it's not all that important. I'll just say 9 months-ish, lol.

I would say you are pretty close give or take a month.
 
Cool, thanks. :) It would be easier if I could just ask the guy who bred her, but he doesn't have a computer and hasn't been at the last couple of fish club meetings. Thanks again!
 
I have had my female (i think) for six months and she is approximately 8". She was 2" when I bought her.

Nice devils everyone. Here's my female. Got it at about 2" in February, and she is currently 6.5" or so SL. She is very mean and so far has not allowed any tankmates in a 125g except for one african which she can't catch.

It's funny how different their personalities are. Diabla is so laid back, she shares her 75 gallon with a couple of Honduran Red Points that I bought as small fry for feeders, but she never ate them. They're almost full size and she completely ignores them. I keep waiting for her to go all "Devil" on me, but so far it hasn't happened.
