What size makes it a monster tank

my 415 gallon seems small 5k is monster

I bet if you got a 5,000g you would eventually consider that small and start making plans for a larger tank.

I remember when (a long time ago) I used to look at my 55 gallon and think "Wow, this is a huge tank", then last year I got my 220 and again thought "Wow this is a huge tank", then I came on here and saw all the 500+ gallon tanks on here and now I look at my tank and think "I wish my tank was bigger".

I have always felt that 150g and up are monster tanks.

mainly because in my area, you have to special order anything over 125g. 125's are always stocked and are a dime a dozen so to speak.

to go bigger, they have to special order you in a tank and then they know you are crazy

i dont think there is such a thing as a monster tank there is only monster fish. but there are tanks of dreams and mine is 100,000 that monster enoph for ya?lol

I'd say anthing that isn't standard made from a major manufacturer.
So....
Anything bigger badder, home made, special ordered= MONSTER

thats how it worked for me (although i only have a 120). i had little stuff like 20g as a kid. got back into the hobby last yr and got my first 55. WOW that was a big tank. then i decided to get a 120 (60"x18"), and man that was huge!! now that ive had it a few wks, i just think 'man, shouldve just spent the xtra money and got the 150...then it was 180. i think a monster tank is only a monster when your getting it then settin it up. after that, its never big enough lol

depends on the fish, a 55 with say gulper cats is a monster, a 180 peaceful community tank is just a big tank....... i guess
