Redtail may get eaten...assuming all the fish get to adult size, I'd say at least a 75 (and you'll be over filterign and doing 50% weekly water changes).
what size are they right now ? what size tank are they in now , from what I understand gt are kool fish but turn into terrors when they are adult towards other fish smaller then them ...... and not sure if youyr red tail shark will workout with them fish because I thought I would try it with my 4 inch "baby" oscars and they would not let my 6 inch red tailed shark alone I had to hurry and get him back in his old tank but for real as far as tank size I would say for that group of fish the BIGGER THE BETTER!!!!!!!!!!! when they are full grown I would say you would need at the very least a 120 + gallon
Sweet, I was planning on getting a 125 but was afraid it would be too small. I have them in a 55 right now but they are still small. If one gets eatten, well thats the circle of life. So far the oscar doesn't bother the shark or the cat.
so the guy at my local petstore said the general rule is one gallon per inch of fish is this just a terrible rule of thumb or what because what im reading is it is...
