Hey guys,

Just got back. The dimensions are 48"x16"x24" so 80 gallons.

Problem being, both the top and bottom trims are cracked. Is this a disaster waiting to happen (my gut tells me yes)? And, how hard to fix it?
The trims arn't a hard fix... where are you located in Canada? :D Maybe i'll come take it if your not gonna ;) "KIDDING"...

Notice there is no top cross brace, did it have and has been broke out? I would first fill this tank and look to see if the front and back glass bow, before buying. It could be though that this is an older tank and is built with thicker glass to compensate for the lack of crossbrace support.

Mystix I'm sure you spotted it was a 80g right off the bat, right?

Ha!

I could have had everything for $200 Cdn. Bear in mind that we pay WAY more than the rest of Canada and the US for tanks (I'm in the east coast). For example, 75g tanks w/stands go for $600 and up new. Walmart 55g tank w/stand will cost you at least $330.

I decided not to go with the tank for a few reasons:
- Didn't like dimensions (am looking for standard 75)
- Broken trim (one part on the bottom was missing about an inch of trim)
- I live on a 4th floor of a new apartment complex. While my landlord has said I could have up to a 125g tank with no problem at all, this tank seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
