I was disappointed to see the result.. The second batch remains white as snow, not even a dot of blue on any of them..

If they had been used in a diseased tank or exposed to toxic substances, that's different.
If you feel the need to test color reaction, add the blue salt to a bowl of water and put a couple rings in to soak.
but check out the website photos. it shows that the rings turn blue after BB growth. a unique thing, but "expected".
