best way to tell is the mundis have TWO dorsals whereas the nandus have one,like a cichla.
coloration is generally abit different.

Like Channa said.. Look at the dorsel. Very easy for someone who knows lates to tell apart. Mundi shouldn't have the one long dorsel.
Jim, to be honest I don't think the guy who sold them knew what he was selling. Probably ordered them off a stocklist as "indian mundi" and then listed them as that.
