what species have you had the most losses

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
pictus cats, angelfish, and kuhli's

small tetras and danios for me, any coummunity fish around the 1 inch mark for that matter

cory cats, pearl gourami, zebra danios (I think they get eaten by my poly)..Never had a big problem with neon/cardinal tetras

I have had issues with neon tetras dying and also recently mass white cloud vanishings.

Started with 10 then got down to 2...

added 5 more and had 7...

Now I have 4. I lost 11 I guess. Probably got eaten, but a few of my WCMM refused to eat.

little ottocinclus cats and neons. I can keep difficlult to raise cichlids alive no problem but when it comes to those little fish I have no idea what to do so that I don't have to take 1 dead 1 out every day.

I have great luck with some of the supposed "hard to keep" fish but for the life of me I can't keep Dwarf Gouramis alive! Very frustrating as I like them so well. No problems whatsoever with any other kind of Gouramis, just the Dwarfs.

Some of you all with these feeder troubles might need to up the water change schedule on the feeder tank. I use to treat my feeder tank just like a normal aquarium. But it reality its a aquarium with a bio load that is very high at one moment and low the next. Like when you dump in a new batch and there were very few left in the tank for the last few days the bio-bacteria were dieing off and then you increase the bio load all at once. i had the same trouble for a long time. But I know keep a revolving number of feeders. I have a 55g with a 20g sump filter and keep a 150+ minnows in it at all times. i use about 3-4 dozen a week and i buy 3-4 dozen a week to keep the bio load high. I have had no die offs for a year or so, since I got this method established.
Damn! No die offs for a year with feeders. You my friend have your s*** in order. Thats amazing :WHOA:

Hmm For me either shrimps...(Took The Leap Of Faith)or WMCM HAd to go into my tropical tank...And then too much heat = Too much stress = xx ='[[
