hi all,
this is my first post and thanks in advance for any ideas. im in the middle of building a 1500 litre tank that will (i think) have ugj and a canister filter of some sort... i was wondering if keeping gouramis or oscars , or any other fish than chiclids would a sand substrate be adequate.. or should i go for gravel...

cheers

also would a 300lth pump be adequate through a cylinder of media types. to power the under gravel jets.. obviously ill lose some power through the cylinder...

ta again

sorry a 3000lth pump...lol

Pool filter sand. That's what i use and love it.

If you are keeping an oscar, it really doesn't matter what substrate you use. The oscar will probably wreck your landscape anyway.
