I would do but I also want some top swimmers any ideas ?A mini marbled of the opposite gender![]()
So it's going to be 6.8- 7.3ph and the temps will be 25-27 degrees c and I read that the archer fish may attempt to try pray on the rays which doesn't make sense since they hunt insects.Aro's are nice and all, and I'm not sure what your water parameters are, but what about a school of archer fish?
Thats what I thought with them hunting bugs of the surface do you have any other ideas ill look into archer fish a little more and do you reckon the tank would be adequate enough for an Asian arowana ? If that's why I decided to go with as it's the length that I'm thinking about.Yea, that's bad info I'd say...archers literally spend 80% of their time in the upper 1/3 of the water column and even at full size, would be no match for a MMM ray
What do you keep in your 10x3?I’ve never kept aro’s myself but a 6’x5’ footprint has 30sq.ft of surface space. This is more than most 8’ long tanks. I have a 10’x3’ so from a unidirectional standpoint would suit better, for multidirectional surface cruising your tank has the same overall area to cruise.
Like I said though, I have no experience w keeping aro’s so hopefully someone who does will chime in here![]()
Since owning it the last 5 years it’s been a Malawi predator hap tank, I kept FW rays and recently sold them and currently have it divided with a group of 15 German strain Mdoka white lips in 2/3 and in 1/3 I have 35 purple lufubu tropheus. What do you keep in your 10x3?
