Rheophilic fish like plecos require high oxygen content to be thriving. High temperature water holds less oxygen...If the tank is heavily planted, one can get away with high temps because plants ensure high oxygen content, otherwise, one should stick to the particular's pleco low temperature range or blast the tank surface with very high flow and hope for the best.

I've got a luteus pleco with my NA natives and the tank got down to 56 this Winter. He was still very active and did just fine.
Luteus are definitely cold water tolerant.

The temperature in my tank around 28-30c the Pleco seem active and healthy for many years. The list : L24, L25, L273, L155, L191, L007, L200A, L075, L27, L114, L46
What do you usually feed the L155?
