What temperature do you keep you LMB at?

Well-researched fisher! The dates on those sources pretty much implies that this case was closed 40 years ago. However, it does not appear to be so black and white. This article states that biochemical and metabolic effects are varied with lower temps, and also asserts that it suppresses the immune system.

This article supports my previous assumption, demonstrating that shifts in temperature influence lifespan as well. I really can't research it much because I no longer have access to college databases, and I can only read the abstracts.

This one is about warm blooded animals, but it states "Prior to this study, researchers had known that core body temperature and aging were related in cold-blooded animals. Scientists had also known that lifespan could be extended in warm-blooded animals by reducing the number of calories they consumed, which also lowered core body temperature. But the degree of calorie restriction needed to extend lifespan is not easy to achieve, even in mice."

Find something that says temperature does NOT affect life span, and I'll consider my statement an opinion, until then I have provided plenty of FACTUAL evidence in my favor.

ok

haha this is getting classic, there really is no solid was of calculating not only the temp factor, but also the care taking involved that might reverse some of the affect it MIGHT have on the fish. Furthermore, non of these studies were relative to bass being kept in a aquarium environment. Prob a matter of preference more than anything when it comes to temp, as long as it is relative to what the fish would experience in the wild.
