Thanks for the embed help. I just got this fish in great shape a week ago, and he has been in perfect water ever since. He's not really eaten much, he doesnt care for my pellets and krill but he is getting used to them and eating a bit more here and there.

I think, and hope, that the spot on his eye is from a bump he acquired when he got stuck in a log. Im keeping a close eye on him, why do you think he is unhealthy? The lighting I used washes him out, here is a pic I took with better lighting the day after he bumped his eye:

Has his mouth always been like that? That could be the issue your having with his feeding. He doesnt appear to be lacking food intake because hes quite obese. He just looks rather pale and lucid, plus the eye, just didnt appear as a healthy fish to me.
But then again, I dont have much experience with Bonsai's or medial compressed fish, so not very familiar with the behavior.
I think if you put in a plate or something for her to deposit eggs on than you will have eggs pretty soon, if shes ready. Breeding these fish isnt cakes and pies. Yours going to have to do ALOT of culling and have a bunch of tanks and dividers set-up for grow outs. Which is why I mentioned quality feeders.

hes fat...... i dout he'll get the job done..
