How can a seller pay a premium for a "wild" fish and not even know what he bought?

That smells of a larger problem in the industry.




Regardless, it's a beautiful fish. IMO it's a hart or gutt.

Agree. Wild fish at that price seems unlikely. If it is wild he should be asking more for it and provide some kind of evidence.

I stopped by the shop today and asked the owner about them. He said he doesn't even remember when or where he ordered them from. I asked if they were actually wild and again, he doesn't know. Lot of help he was. Just in it for the money I guess.

Hatwegi, Guttulatum or Zonatum. Could be any one of these. Watch this fish carefully. If he eats all your food, swims around aimlessly taking cheap shots at your other fish and has no personality then he is a hybrid. Hybrid Central Americans are retard aggressive. Make sure he doesnt pop the eyes out of your other fish. Im hoping hes a Hartwegi. Good luck.

if you cant even identify it, how do you know you will be able to properly care for it?
