yeah i agree, papyrocranus have a completeley different head structure. I cant imagine it being photoshopped, given the upstandedrightness of the thai girl ("I will love an protect my country" and the fact that i just personally think it would be dumb to photoshop a giraffe pattern so meticulously (with the reflection of the water and everything, and the fact that the pattern appears to be the same in both pictures despite the fact that the fish is in totally different positions) of someone's gold chitala just in to fool some people on a fishing website with a tiny jpeg image. So all and all, im hoping this is a new species, or at least varitety of chitala (its definateley chitala or notopterus, judging from the body/head structure and the fact that it is in thailand). Do we have on this forum anybody from thailand? Or is there somebody doing a biodiversity survey of southeast asia we could contact about this? Above all this a beautiful animal and if it is an undescribed thai speices we need somebody to describe it. Anybody?
