iN A sMALL pADDeD RoOm
I came home today and noticed one my smaller widebars has a big growth under his mouth. I pulled him out to get a better look and to move him into another tank. Under closer inspection there is also a growth in his mouth.

HELP!!!

whats he feeding on? had a small widebar that somehow got what looked like a small bone or shell fragment pierced thru his lower lip and got infected, looked similar to that but not as big, maybe i caught it early??. i removed the object and treated with salt and temp. good luck bro.
 
One of my widebars had a similar bump on the tip of his mouth. I believe it is due to injury. Perhaps he got in a fight with another of the dats or ran into something. Mine was able to heal fine on his own. I imagine with salt and solitude, he should heal up fine.

it looks inside and out, thats nasty but does look a little like damage but its only speculation, i would treat it as such but keep a close eye on it and us updated.
 
It looks way worse now. It has opened up and looks bigger and is way more red.
I will post some pics in a few minutes.
