How big is the tank?
Is the tank heavily decorated?
What other fish do you have?
How big are all your fish?

It is in their nature to do that. Both cichlids will stake their claim of territories. I would not be surprised if they take a lot of damage in the process.
...And I repeat. People will continue to argue scenarios and experiences, but the above questions still need to be addressed to give proper advice.

:iagree: need to know the information that Lupin asked for but basically what it will probably boil down to is there isn't enough room for each to establish their own territory so a larger tank will most likely be required.

I have 1 convict little guy, but belive it or not he is house in 125 with 4 red devils and oscars and no issue. The devils are small but he has no problem going heads up. I have to agree they can pack a little punch of there own!

you do know some people keep adult convicts together with adults of larger cichlid species successfully??????
you do know I never said what size???????

convicts are pretty tough and mine will pick a fight with any fish in the tank i would say get rid of them if you dont want them harassing your oscar unless you can get a bigger tank maybe to give each fish its own territory
