my catfish have nowhere to hide so they are always out, but if you are asking when they are active then it's right after sundown. They are also active when I come into the garage cause they know they are getting food lol.
TSN - occasionally throughout the day and then it's game time once the tank lights go out ( stage turning out the display lights and then turning the lights in the room off). I presume at some points during the night he goes back to hanging out, but he gets excited as soon as the room light turns on in the morning.
S. eupterus - Anytime the other fish in the tank get excited to feed they'll come out from hiding. Sometimes they meander during the day though. Once the lights are out they'll take another spin around, but they don't stay out for long.
S. decorus - After nearly all of the food in the tank has ben devoured by other species they'll try to find some. Otherwise they don't come out until after dark.
My plecos - on and off around the clock!

yeah its like they know the feeding time (thats just for the TSNs and the ARTC and a few other cats )
but the RTCs are a different story they come out to play anytime i come close to the tank

Gulper-about 9-10pm or right before he gets fed.
Yellow and brown bullheads- 7-8pm or early morning around 5-6am
Bumble bee jellys- never before 11pm

hmmm, my big black bullhead is always active. Id, and imperial sharks are always active also. Forgot about them. lol.
my cats just sit at the bottom trying to balance them selves on their big oh bellies all day until the next feeding day!!! i have the layziest cats in the world!
